ABOUT JOY

Hi! I’m Joy A. Williams, an author, blogger and speaker passionate about sharing the grace of God in Christ.  Faith in Him fuels every bit of my hope. He is the source of my joy.

And yet, as I seek to follow Him, at times I become sidetracked. Life happens and I don’t always handle it well until I lean on (and learn from) Jesus. Thankfully, He faithfully pursues me. He’s pursuing you too — right where you are.

Many of the lessons I learn are on this blog. In fact, my experiences in His grace allow me to encourage other sincere or sidetracked truth seekers with “hope for the heart and joy to the soul.”

For over 15 years, I’ve taught small-group bible studies and spoken at Women’s retreats and conferences. I currently serve as a facilitator for Women’s Bible study at my church and on the Women’s Ministry leadership team.

I publish a new post weekly (usually Tuesdays or Wednesdays) and I would love for you to meet me here. Just sign-up using the “let’s stay connected” form in the sidebar and you’ll receive the most recent updates.

I believe joy happens when we welcome even the smallest drop of God’s grace and truth into the soul. I look forward to us sharing those discoveries together.  What brings joy to your soul? Here’s my short list:
1. Quiet time with God, the Maker and Keeper of my soul
2. Being married to Brady
3. Being mom to Ryan
4.  Writing about life issues and God solutions
5.  Talks that turn into deep belly laughs
6.  Prayers that turn into gazes of awe
7.  Souls lifted solely by the grace of God
8.  Seeing broken dreams meet God’s redemption
9.  A cup of tea
10. Knowing that at any moment this list (or its ranking) may change but God’s love for me never will.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.- Romans 15:13 NLT
