It’s day 14 of “It’s Time to FLY!” Hello frequent FLYers (and newcomers to the series). I pray we’re leaning hard on God’s grace and discovering His rest.
Next week, we’ll focus on the next phase of our flight: Yield completely.
But before we do, here’s my current status:
The battle is waging between my old habits and my new FLYing skills. However, my tendencies to fear the unknown, stay stuck in self and resist God’s will, are starting to fade.
When facing disappointment, I used to think it was time to run.
Now I know it’s time to FLY.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31
When frustration begins to mount, I used to think it was time to quit.
Now I know it’s time to FLY.
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. – Galatians 6:9
When I’m overwhelmed or misunderstood, I used to think it was time to hide.
Now I know it’s time to FLY.
For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.– Psalm 32:7
Taking old habits to new heights is easier said than done — unless we learn how to FLY. Thankfully, our flight plan was given by the One who makes all things new!
As frequent fliers, we’ll always find new discoveries in God’s grace. I’ve shared mine. Now it’s your turn. What are you discovering as you learn how to FLY?
(Fear not. Lean hard. Yield completely.)

What I’m learning is to give everything to Him and things will happen in His timing, in His Way and according to His plan.

Amen – well said Sabrina! I’m constantly learning that too.

I have found myself at peace more the more that I FLY. Things are not necessarily easier, but I have more rest, balance, and joy as a result. Great article!

Thanks OE mom! I’m happy to hear you’re having a peaceful flight. May more rest, balance and joy be yours, the more you learn how to FLY! Blessings to you!
