“For we live by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
But if all we see is our situation, it’s hard to see our next step of faith.
When I started this #write31days journey of “It’s Time to FLY,” I couldn’t see what the experience would bring. However, I sensed an adventure in God’s grace. The adventure continues.
Today is Day 18. However, I wouldn’t be at this point, unless I jumped into Day 1.
To quote the poet, Leena Ahmad Almasha, “Those who don’t jump will never fly.” I agree. Jumping tests the legs of our faith so we can take the next step and trust God.
Consider a situation where you need to trust Him. The details may be few but God’s grace is more than enough. We may want more courage, more resources or more assurance to proceed in His will.
God can certainly provide all those things. But He also wants us to trust Him with where we are right now. So, before we jump into a new relationship, new career path, new purchase or a new perspective,
These jump starters to our faith will help us land in His will.
- Seek God through prayer. (Hebrews 4:16)
- Find a Scripture to stand on. (Psalms 119:05)
- Seek godly counsel from someone you trust. (Proverbs 15:22)
- Listen to your favorite worship song or hymn. (Psalm 32:7)
- Be accountable to someone about your commitment. (Hebrews 4:13)
Whatever you need to leap towards, I’m praying the courage will come, the resources will flow, and wisdom will be established. But most of all, as we jump may we be confident God will catch us. Because there’s nothing like jumping into His arms to bring hope to the heart and joy to the soul.
