I’m a tea-lover with a cabinet full of flavored teas and fancy cups to prove it. I enjoy it iced or hot. But I’m partial to a hot cup swirling a spiced aroma through my kitchen.

It doesn’t matter if I’m drinking from a cup that’s fancy or familiar. I let the temperature approach nearly perfect. Then I slowly sip my favorite flavor of the day — ginger peach green tea.

If you regularly enjoy a hot beverage, go ahead and grab a cup. I’ll wait because there’s one more sip we need to take. It makes each day extra special.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! – Psalms 34:8 NLT

This is comforting to my soul, when I have tasted and seen a situation is difficult. But experiencing God’s goodness doesn’t just make a day special, it infuses His Presence in every moment. It forever changes a life.

Over the years, I’ve learned to reflect on how good He is to me. If you’re needing some reflection today, I find it helpful to:

Listen to worship music.

Read a Scripture about His love. (Romans 5:8 is usually on my list.)

Talk to a friend who loves Him too.

Thankfully, God’s truth and love are not relegated to being kept on my kitchen shelf. The best place to keep it, is in my heart.

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. – Romans 5:5 NLT
