The Big One

Fifty-two weeks ago I published my first blog post. It was cleverly titled My New Blog.” As I clicked the publish button I took the faith plunge. A year later, my feet feel closer to the ground. However, God’s grace and readers’ interaction continue to amaze me.

I like to think my creativity with titles and content improved since my first post. Initially, I was social media shy and sometimes a reluctant blogger. But my plunge by faith became a powerful pivot in my walk with God.

Sharing my faith journey with you is a privilege and a delight. God faithfully provides the inspiration and you — subscribers and visitors – provide encouragement, additional insights, and a growing fellowship.

On my 52nd post, I am grateful to say Happy 1st Anniversary joyawillams.com! It’s been quite a year. Here are some of our interesting statistics.

The most viewed post: Fixer Upper

The most commented on post: The Other Side of the Story

The most viewed series: The Maximum Impact Series

Thanks for joining the conversation to the tune of 203 comments, so far! You guys rock! As you share your reflections on a post, other readers (and I) can see a different perspective or receive a dose of encouragement.

I am grateful for the fruit of this first year and I look forward to the year ahead. I’ll continue to post weekly; however, there are a few new features in store:

Be on the lookout for guest writers. You’ll meet some of my fellow bloggers and friends as they share their mission and message through guest posts. I look forward to the insight and encouragement they will share in the weeks ahead.

“Tweetest Moments” is an upcoming monthly feature on joyawilliams.com. As people “tweet” their thoughts on Twitter they’re allowed 140 characters or less. I believe some tweets are worthy of a longer conversation. In 140 words or less, I’ll share my “Tweetest Moments” – reflections on a tweet or a hash tag (#) that speaks to my heart. I hope they will speak to yours too.

Also, a first anniversary is a great time for a makeover. Joyawilliams.com will have one soon! The new format will make it easier for you to engage as a reader and to connect with other readers as well.

I appreciate your support and your prayers as I continue to respond to God’s call. I pray your time spent here helps you to respond to His call too. Whether you read this blog as a sincere or a side-tracked truth seeker, thank you for joining the journey. May we each continue to discover hope for the heart and joy to the soul.

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 5:13
